Discover a comprehensive portal featuring listings of new homes, in addition, to exploring captivating video tours, and stunning photographs.
Before embarking on your search for a new construction home, there are several key factors to consider.
Understanding Different Locations in Dallas-Fort Worth
The DFW area is a sprawling metropolis, stretching across 13 counties filled with a variety of cities and towns. Each spot has its unique charm and amenities. From the bustling downtown Dallas with its thriving arts and food scene to the peaceful suburbs of Fort Worth, there’s a place for everyone. So, take your time to explore and find the location that suits your lifestyle and needs best.
Types of Homes in Dallas
DFW’s housing market is diverse, offering a variety of home styles to cater to your unique needs. Are you a single professional looking for a modern condo in the heart of the city? Or a growing family in need of a spacious single-family home in a quiet suburb? From sleek condos and spacious townhouses to quaint single-family dwellings, Dallas has it all. Knowing what type of home you’re after will help you streamline your search and save time.
Budgeting for Your New Home
The price range for homes in Dallas can vary greatly, depending on the type of home, its location, and many other factors. It’s crucial to set a realistic budget before you start hunting. Consider your monthly income, your savings, and your future financial goals. Remember, buying a home is a long-term commitment. Don’t stretch yourself too thin!
Getting Pre-Approved for a Home Loan
If you’re like most people, you’ll likely need a mortgage to finance your home purchase. Getting pre-approved for a home loan before you start your search has multiple benefits. Not only does it give you a clear idea of your purchasing power, but it also makes you more appealing to sellers. Trust me, this step can save you a lot of time and potential disappointment down the line!
Considering the Home Specifications
Beyond the type and location of the home, it’s essential to consider the home’s specifications. How many bedrooms do you need? How many bathrooms would be convenient? Do you need a large backyard or a home office space? List down your needs and wants and keep them handy during your search.

The Buyer’s Agent Duty
READ: Texas Real Estate Commission Information About Brokerage Services
AS AGENT FOR BUYER/TENANT: The broker becomes the buyer/tenant’s agent by agreeing to represent the buyer, usually through a
written representation agreement. A buyer’s agent must perform the broker’s minimum duties above and must inform the buyer of any
material information about the property or transaction known by the agent, including information disclosed to the agent by the seller or
seller’s agent.
A BROKER’S MINIMUM DUTIES REQUIRED BY LAW (A client is the person or party that the broker represents):
– Put the interests of the client above all others, including the broker’s own interests;
– Inform the client of any material information about the property or transaction received by the broker;
– Answer the client’s questions and present any offer to or counter–offer from the client; and
– Treat all parties to a real estate transaction honestly and fairly.
TO AVOID DISPUTES, ALL AGREEMENTS BETWEEN YOU AND A BROKER SHOULD BE IN WRITING AND CLEARLY ESTABLISH:
– The broker’s duties and responsibilities to you, and your obligations under the representation agreement.
– Who will pay the broker for services provided to you, when payment will be made and how the payment will be calculated.
TYPES OF REAL ESTATE LICENSE HOLDERS:
– A BROKER is responsible for all brokerage activities, including acts performed by sales agents sponsored by the broker.
– A SALES AGENT must be sponsored by a broker and works with clients on behalf of the broker.
